Week 9 is officially a wrap after a rather wild Monday Night Football game. The Seattle Seahawks beat the Buffalo Bills 31-25, holding off the Bills final drive inside Seattle's 10. Jimmy Graham had a monster day, and some screwy officiating late in the second quarter will be the stories of the day from this one.
The close of Week 9 means we're back with Week 10 NFL power rankings. The San Francisco 49ers lost again, and now sit at 1-7. I have nowhere that I can drop them in my power rankings, although I suppose I could just remove them entirely and say that until they show something, they are not even worth of being ranked. But I think the infinity symbol captures the spirit of that argument. What do you think?
The rest of the bottom of my power rankings remains the same. The Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chicago Bears all still stink. The first two lost their Week 9 contest, while the Bears had a bye. The bottom of the NFL is pretty abysmal, and remains the same.
The New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, and Oakland Raiders remain in the top three. I pondered moving the Raiders past the Cowboys, but I’m comfortable sticking with them as is. The Raiders have gone from being an awful boring team, to a bad fun team, to a good fun team. And right now, the division is between them and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos could get back into this with a win over KC, but for now, the Raiders and Chiefs strike me as the favorites for the time being. However it plays out, the AFC West is a lot of fun to watch this year.
