The San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets released their Week 14 inactives, and as expected, left tackle Joe Staley is inactive. Staley suffered a hamstring injury during practice on Wednesday, and will see his 92-game active streak snapped.
His absence means Zane Beadles moves from left guard to left tackle. Andrew Tiller will move into the lineup at left guard. Beadles last played a game at tackle in his rookie season, when he filled in at right tackle. The interior of the line is intriguing with Tiller joining center Daniel Kilgore and right guard Joshua Garnett, but the left end will be something to watch.
The 49ers do welcome back outside linebacker Aaron Lynch, which has resulted in Tank Carradine being inactive. Tank is a healthy scratch for the game. Chip Kelly said he anticipated Lynch returning this week from his high ankle sprain, and it would appear that has worked out. Lynch has been out since suffering the injury in Week 7, but has been practicing in limited fashion for most of the last four weeks. He will likely not see a full load of snaps, instead rotating with Eli Harold.
49ers inactives: QB Cristian Ponder, DB Marcus Cromartie, RB Mike Davis, OT Joe Staley, TE Je’Ron Hamm, DT Quinton Dial, OLB Tank Carradine
