Daniel Kilgore out with leg injury, means second OL shake-up

We break up the latest news about the 49ers injured offensive line.

The San Francisco 49ers are facing the New York Jets without left tackle Joe Staley, and now they have to shake things up even further. Center Daniel Kilgore left the game with a leg injury and has been ruled OUT for the rest of the game.

This is huge, as Marcus Martin is replacing him at center. Martin was already in the starting lineup at left guard. The team moved Zane Beadles to left tackle for the inactive Staley, and Martin moved in at left guard. However, now Martin is at center, and Andrew Tiller has moved into the starting lineup at left guard.

The 49ers lead the game 14-0, so they have some cushion to get Martin comfortable again. Carlos Hyde added a 20-yard run late in the first quarter as the team looks to build some confidence in their run blocking. We’ll likely get a leak on Kilgore’s injury before the end of the day, and then hopefully a more formal update on Monday.
