Dolphins vs. Jets, Saturday Night Football: TV schedule, game time, draft implications

We have our first Saturday NFL game this season. The AFC East is on display as the New York Jets host the Miami Dolphins. Here are all the details.

Saturday football is back! The NFL will have most of their Week 16 games on Saturday because of Christmas falling on a Sunday, but today, we get some Week 15 Saturday Night Football. The New York Jets host the Miami Dolphins in a meh AFC East affair. The game kicks off at 5:25 p.m. PT on NFL Network. Mike Tirico and Doug Flutie will be calling the game from the booth, with Heather Cox working on the sideline.

The Dolphins are 8-5, sitting three games back of the New England Patriots. They are tied with the Denver Broncos for the second wild card berth, but the Broncos hold the tiebreaker based on win percentage in common games. The Broncos are hosting the Patriots this week, so this is a big opportunity for the Dolphins.

On the other side, the Jets are 4-9 coming off a win over the 49ers. The Jets currently hold the No. 6 position in draft order, and a loss drops them into a tie with the 4-10 Rams.

The Dolphins are a 2.5-point favorite with Matt Moore making the start. I think we see the Dolphins get the slim cover as the Jets revert to their awful form.
