We’re back for another week of Sunday Night Football, and Week 15 brings another round of the Dallas Cowboys. They host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a week after losing on the road to the New York Giants. The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on NBC, with Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, and Michele Tafoya on the call.
The Cowboys enter the game at 11-2 and leading the NFC, but are in a bit of a must-win situation. The New York Giants won Sunday morning, and are a game-and-a-half back of the Cowboys. The Giants swept the two-game season series, and thus have the tiebreaker. If the Cowboys win, they’ll be up two with two games to go.
The Bucs are 8-5 and tied with the Atlanta Falcons atop the NFC South. Atlanta has the tiebreaker, so the Bucs are looking to maintain pace. The Bucs also hold the second wild card spot, so a win would keep them locked in there just ahead of Washington.
The Cowboys are a touchdown favorite in what is kind of a big game for quarterback Dak Prescott. Tony Romo is healthy once again, and Prescott is coming off an awful game against the Giants. I don’t think another poor performance this week would cost Prescott the starting job, but it would make the calls a little louder. I picked the Cowboys to cover in this one, as I think Ezekiel Elliott will be able to put Dallas on his shoulders.
