The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report for Week 13, and aside from the lengthy injured reserve list, they are getting healthier. The team announced Quinton Patton and Aaron Lynch as questionable, while the rest of the roster did not appear on the final injury report.
Patton suffered a concussion in Week 12, and has been working his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol. He sat out Tuesday and Wednesday practice, and has been limited in the non-contact jersey Thursday and Friday. This suggests he was cleared for non-contact football activity. He will need to remain asymptomatic into Sunday to be cleared for Sunday’s game.
Lynch has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and has not played since before the team’s Week 8 bye. He has been practicing for three weeks now, but the beat writers have said he has looked gimpy during this period. It seems highly unlikely he will play, which means Eli Harold will start again opposite Ahmad Brooks, and Tank Carradine will be the primary backup.
One bit of positive news is that Quinton Dial was upgraded from limited to full on Friday, and was not included as questionable. He was inactive last week with knee and neck issues. His return will make for an interesting decision with Chris Jones. The 49ers started Jones this past Sunday, and he looked pretty solid. The team has some decisions to make about who rotates in where on the defensive line.
