Welcome back for my Week 16 picks against the spread. Mercifully, the season is coming to a close and I only have to make picks for one more week after this. It has not been pretty, and it will be nice to not bang my head against the wall each week. That being said, I did get the Eagles pick correct last night, so I’ll just enjoy that one heading into the holiday weekend.
From a football perspective, that might be all I enjoy this weekend (well, barring a big Frank Gore game). The San Francisco 49ers play their final road game of the season in Week 16, traveling to face the Los Angeles Rams in a matchup of truly awful teams. The 49ers are a 3.5-point underdog and this is tough one to figure out. The 49ers are 2-11-1 against the spread, so maybe I am just over-thinking it. The Rams are 4-9-1 ATS, so it’s not like they’re much better. I’m picking the Rams because the 49ers have not shown an ability to cover, so why pick them?
For the third straight season, I am back for the LVH SuperContest. SB Nation's partners over at Odds Shark are sponsoring my entry again. The contest requires selecting 5 games each week and picking them against the spread. This year's contest is expected to have over 1,800 participants, which is a new record for the SuperContest.
