Another starter on the San Francisco 49ers will miss the rest of the season, but this time the rest of the season only consists of one game against the Seattle Seahawks. Carlos Hyde took a low hit on Saturday against the LA Rams and had to leave the game. He was diagnosed with a sprained MCL and will not require surgery this offseason. He will end the season with a career best 988 yards rushing.
The 49ers are still in line for the #2 pick in the NFL draft unless the Cleveland Browns somehow come away with a 2nd straight win, this one coming against the Pittsburg Steelers next weekend. Myles Garrett, the player most have as the lock #1 pick, would be an ideal player for the 49ers to have if he somehow was not taken #1. The defense needs a lot of help and having a pass rusher of his ability would be a nice addition. While he is likely to go #1, maybe the Browns decide to address another need and that would be rejoiced by 49ers fans.
The end of the season comes Sunday against the playoff bound Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium. This offseason cannot come soon enough and it will be interesting if there are any changes made to the front office. Trent Baalke has been rumored to be on his way out, but his relationship with Jed York is well documented. Also, rumors that Jed could be moved from his current position have circulated and it will be interesting to see if that comes to fruition. A shakeup is needed, but what will actually happen remains the question that fans want to know.
