Running back Raheem Mostert, who was most recently on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad, has been promoted to the 53 man roster, according to his agent Brett Tessler:
The San Francisco 49ers are elevating RB/KR Raheem Mostert to their 53-man roster... Was on the Chicago Bears roster earlier this season.

Mostert has spent time on the Eagles, Dolphins, Ravens, Browns, Jets and Bears before landing in Santa Clara. He has played in 11 games as a punt returner/kick returner with 19 kickoff return attempts for 530 yards. He has not accumulated any rushing or receiving stats yet in his two seasons in the NFL since he played at Purdue.
Mike Davis who has been inactive for much of the season may have known about this a yesterday when he tweeted:
Guess I gotta work even harder

The 49ers will need to place a player on IR to make room for Mostert and the two candidates are C Marcus Martin and OL Andrew Tiller, both of whom have already been declared out for the match up against Seattle due to ankle injuries.
