Golden Nuggets: Bring on the Bears!

Sunday, December 4th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links around the Internet.

Today, the San Francisco 49ers will play the Chicago Bears. I’m not really sure what even matters at this point, but I suppose the strong-ish play of quarterback Colin Kaepernick is something to be interested in. But I don’t even know if I’m sold on the idea that Kaepernick or head coach Chip Kelly will be around next season , whether they win a few games to end the season or not.

Matt Barkley will be starting for the Bears today. Barkley will be playing the game due to an injury to Jay Cutler. Barkley isn’t particularly good, but I guess he has upside at this point. It will be interesting to see how the 49ers handle him, or if the terrible Bears will suddenly look like a good team because the 49ers are that bad.

It’s probably just a battle for draft positioning at this point though, right? I suppose some of you will be rooting for a 49ers loss, but at the very least I’ll be rooting for a win before the game starts!
