49ers-Bears inactives: Quinton Patton in, Aaron Lynch out

We break down the 49ers inactive report for Week 13.

The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears released their Week 13 inactive reports on Sunday, and wide receiver Quinton Patton will be active, while outside linebacker Aaron Lynch will be inactive.

Patton spent the week in the concussion protocol following a head injury last week against the Miami Dolphins. He sat out Tuesday and Wednesday practice, but worked his way back to limited practice on Thursday and Friday. He wore a non-contact jersey, and his active status means he remains asymptomatic.

Quinton Dial will be back in the lineup for the 49ers after missing last week due to knee and neck issues. Chris Jones got extended playing time in place of Dial, and the coaching staff said he had earned work moving forward. It will be interesting to see what the snap count looks like for the defensive line.

Aaron Lynch remains sidelined with a high ankle sprain. He has been practicing the past three weeks, but reports have said he continues to look gimpy. We’ll continue to wait and see what practice brings. Eli Harold will start in his place, and Tank Carradine will be the primary backup. Harold suffered a toe injury recently, but after two limited practices, he was full on Friday, and not included on the final injury report.
