2017 NFL Draft order: 49ers securing No. 2 pick

We break down what Week 13 meant for 2017 NFL Draft implications, and what to look for in Week 14.

The San Francisco 49ers “built” on their franchise record losing streak, losing to the Chicago Bears 26-6. The 49ers dropped to 1-11 with the loss as they got nothing going on offense in snowy Chicago. They led the Bears 6-0 late in the second quarter, but as has become par for the course, they fell apart in the second half and could get nothing going.

The 49ers loss further secures their chances at the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft order. The Cleveland Browns did not play on Sunday, wrapping up their bye week. The Bears drop a second game back of them, while the Jacksonville Jaguars remain a game back with their loss to the Denver Broncos. The New York Jets are 3-8 and host the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.

Here is the current draft order with strength of schedule as determined by Scott Carasik (Spreadsheet):

1. Cleveland Browns (0-12, .550)
2. San Francisco 49ers (1-11, .511)
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10, .537)
4. Chicago Bears (3-9, .513)
5. New York Jets (3-8, .505)
