Colts vs. Jets, MNF: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, announcers, odds

We can root for Frank Gore, and potentially some help from the Jets in solidifying draft position.

We’re back to close out Week 13 with a Monday Night Football matchup featuring a couple of interesting angles. The New York Jets host the Indianapolis Colts on ESPN, with kickoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT. Sean McDonough and Jon Gruden will call the game from the booth, and Lisa Salters will have reports from the sideline.

There are two particularly notable rooting interests tonight for 49ers fans. Frank Gore will be out there for the Colts. He currently has 12,710 career rushing yards, which puts him 29 back of Tony Dorsett for No. 8 all time. Eric Dickerson is 520 yards after Dorsett, so it would take some huge games the rest of the way for Gore to reach him. But Gore can build some ground these final five games, and set himself up to potentially pass Dickerson, Jerome Bettis, and Ladanian Tomlinson next season.

The other thing to watch is draft positioning. The Jets are 3-8 and a win would drop them three games back of the 49ers with four games to go. The 49ers host the Jets next week, so securing at worst a top four pick is something to track.

The Colts are a one-point favorite in this one, with a whole lot of money coming in on them. I think the Jets spring the upset in this one, in a potentially ugly grinder of a game.
