I was poking around the San Francisco 49ers sub-Reddit, and I came across the above picture. User isai249 posted it recently, and after getting his permission, I wanted to share it with you all. 49ers head coach Chip Kelly apparently made a trip over to the Middle East recently to visit with some troops over there. I won't go into the details of where it was taken, other than just to say the Middle East. Kelly doesn't seem to talk a whole lot about his personal life, but it is cool to see him off doing something outside of the realm of football (aside from having the football in hand!).

The person in the picture posted a few replies to some questions. He asked Kelly what players he was excited to work with from an athletic standpoint, and he said NaVorro Bowman and Joe Staley. That's not exactly a stunning revelation, as I imagine it helps that they are two of the leaders of this team. He also said Kelly had a water bottle in his back pocket and seemed to be staying sufficiently hydrated.

The NFL Combine kicks off next Tuesday, and that is likely to be the next time we hear from Chip Kelly. Coaches and GMs are generally in attendance for the festivities, and there will be all sorts of press conferences. Should be fun times all around!
