Super Bowl week is finally in full swing in San Francisco! It marks a homecoming for Denver TE Vernon Davis, who spent more than 9 seasons on the 49ers, and Ron Rivera, who was born and raised in Northern California. San Francisco will be the center of the football universe for the next week and Santa Clara will be able to showcase the NFL's biggest event for the world to see.

Jed York spoke on Monday to kick off Super Bowl's Opening Day. He touched on a few topics including the resumed rivalry between San Francisco-Los Angeles in the sports arena and the Super Bowl ticket issue involving 49ers season ticket holders. With the Rams making the move back to LA, the rivalry between San Francisco and LA is started once again. As far as Super Bowl tickets are concerned, the 49ers fan base received 2,500 tickets based on a lottery. Many season ticket holders are upset, but the NFL owns the rights to the tickets. As a season ticket holder myself, the 49ers made it very clear that the Super Bowl was going to be a lottery and most ticket holders would not get access to tickets.

While former 49ers will be all around the Super Bowl festivities, the 49ers of the present are still doing business. They hired safety Antoine Bethea's former coach, Roy Anderson, as the team's assistant defensive backs coach. He spent the last 4 seasons as the Colts' secondary coach and spent a few seasons with the Baltimore Ravens from 2006-2011.
