There has been plenty of chatter about wide receiver Alshon Jeffery potentially hitting free agency. However, another 2012 wide receiver draft pick is a more likely candidate for free agency that the 49ers might choose to pursue. FOX Sports is reporting Mohamed Sanu is not expected to re-sign with the Cincinnati Bengals, saying "there is virtually no chance" of it happening.
Sanu finished the 2015 season with 33 receptions for 394 yards. In 2014, he had career highs with 56 receptions, 790 yards, and five touchdowns. He slipped down the Bengals depth chart with the emergence of Tyler Eifert and the return of Marvin Jones. If he is looking to get more looks, it makes sense to find a new home.
Earlier this week, I noticed this tweet from friend of the site, Matt Miller:
I'd spend money on @Mo_12_Sanu in free agency if I'm the @49ers. Great fit in Chip's offense.

He is not a burner, but came out of college with the ability to move around in the intermediate passing game. He's got strong hands, and given his lack of production, could be had for a pretty decent price. We'll be going into more detail about how current players fit into Chip Kelly's offense, and what free agency could mean, but for now, what do you think?
