The San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of figuring out their quarterback situation, and Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams is a guy that has been on the radar for fans. Adams spoke with the media on Wednesday at the NFL Combine, and had a chance to discuss Chip Kelly's offense, and his own strengths and weaknesses as a quarterback.
We'll have a full transcript later today, but in the meantime, here are a few highlights of Adams' press conference. He seems to have taken time to check out Chip Kelly's offense with the Philadelphia Eagles. Kelly has said he will run something similar with the 49ers, so that would certainly bode well for Adams' learning curve. Adams also discussed progressions and reading defenses as a strength, while looking to not run from the pocket too soon as an area for improvement.

Oregon QB Vernon Adams on Chip Kelly: "If he's running the same thing he did at Philly, I'd have a pretty good feel for that offense."

.@vadams_qb said he watched the Eagles last year and after being at Oregon, he said he could run that offense. Knew 80-90% of the plays.
