The Baltimore Ravens hold the No. 6 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, putting them one spot ahead of the San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens need help on the defensive side of the ball, but they are in a solid position to do some dealing. Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome made it clear he is open to dealing the pick.
During his Combine press conference, Newsome was asked about quarterback-needy teams in the draft. Newsome talked about his confidence in his own QBs, and made it very clear he is ready for any calls:
"You have to ask those teams that are looking for quarterbacks. I feel real good about the two we've got: Joe and Ryan Mallett. You'd have to ask those teams. I'm at number six, so they can always call me."
There is always the possibility of trading into the top few picks of the draft, and this year is no different. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz have emerged as the top two quarterbacks, but it's not like other positions are short of talent. We could see a team move up to the top six for something else. The 49ers could very well decide they want to move up a spot or two as well. I doubt that happens, but it will be an unpredictable first hour of the 2016 NFL Draft.
