Golden Nuggets: NFL Combine prospects finally see the field Friday

New, comments

Friday, February 26th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine has been going on since Tuesday, but the only thing we have so far is running backs and offensive linemen taking part in the bench press. But today, those players will see the field for the first time for drills and other workouts and I have to admit, I'm pretty excited.

The combine is often more disappointing than it is interesting, and I'm always left with a sense of being unfulfilled at the end of it. That's because you can't draw too many real conclusions from the scouting combine, you can only really use them to enforce conclusions you have already made. I'm a bit behind on my draft study this year with a full schedule of stuff on my plate, so I don't have many conclusions at this point.

Still, football has been away for long enough for it to start hurting, and I just want to see people doing football-esque stuff. So I'll be watching whatever I can today. Anyway, onto your links for the day!
