The 2016 NFL Combine is wrapping up day one of the on-field workouts. Offensive linemen and running backs were the first to go through on Friday. The best resource for a full rundown of performances is this spreadsheet. It continuously updates, and tracks everything to be tracked.
In the meantime, I thought I would pull out some of the top performers among the offensive linemen. I've grabbed the top five from the workouts thus far completed. That includes the 40-yard dash, the bench press, the broad jump, and more. The 40 results brings to mind this tweet from free agent lineman Geoff Schwartz:
With the OL running 40s today, it's my yearly reminder that the #nflcombine was the last 40 I've run. @NFL

I'd recommend checking out his podcast in which he discusses what to look for from offensive linemen at the NFL Combine. It will be interesting to see which players at all positions emerge as "workout warriors", but are unable to do much at the next level. Jason Spriggs is the name that jumps out with the best performances of the day in the basic drills. He finished first in the 40, fourth in the bench press, first in the broad jump, and second in the 20-yard shuttle run. CBS Sports currently projects him as a potential second round tackle, and NFL.com gives Ryan Harris as an NFL comp.
