NFL Honors 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule, awards and how to watch online

The 2016 NFL Honors program airs tonight at 6 p.m. PT on CBS, and counts as sort of the penultimate event of the 2015 NFL season. Super Bowl 50 wraps it up, but the NFL Honors program will be where the NFL hands out its many end-of-season awards. These include the various AP awards (MVP, Coach of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, etc).

The San Francisco 49ers have a couple players of note that could claim some hardware. NaVorro Bowman is among the potential winners, along with Eric Berry, Carson Palmer, and even Adrian Peterson, unfortunately. Berry is a heavy favorite given his comeback from cancer. Anquan Boldin is nominated for Walter Payton Man of the Year. The award recognizes the off-field charity work players do. Boldin is up against Eli Manning and Benjamin Watson. All three will receive donations to their charities, but the winner gets the bigger donation.

More importantly for us, the NFL will announce the 2016 inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Eddie DeBartolo and Terrell Owens are two of the finalists. The event broadcasts at 6 p.m. PT, but starts taping at 5 p.m. It's an odd tape-delay decision, as plenty of news will be tweeted out before the broadcast airs. We'll have new posts for all the potential news, but this will serve as our open thread in the meantime.
