NFL teams have until next Wednesday to get under the salary cap and set themselves up for the start of free agency. That means all sorts of players are being released across the league. The latest name is a fan favorite, Anthony Dixon, who announced the news on Twitter. The Bills released Mario Williams as well, but obviously Boobie Dixon is near and dear to the hearts of 49ers fan.
I don't actually expect the 49ers to make a play for Dixon at this point, but I thought it was at least worth a mention. He was a guy you never worried was not giving his all, and he was wildly entertaining at times. He had all sorts of random takes on Twitter, and he might have peaked a couple weeks ago when he live-tweeted watching Breaking Bad for the first time.
