49ers free agency rumor tracker for signings, news, live updates and more (Thursday)

The 49ers still have the money to spend. Will they land some talent on day two? Time to track all the rumors.

Welcome back! It's day two of free agency. The signing period opened at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday, and we saw a flurry of transactions through the evening. The Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and Houston Texans were all particularly active. You don't win Super Bowls in March, but there is no denying they added some talent.

The San Francisco 49ers were fairly low key on Wednesday. They wrapped up an extension with Ian Williams early Wednesday morning, and signed quarterback Thad Lewis to a one-year contract. They have reportedly set up meetings with guard Ted Larsen and running back Lance Dunbar. They are also reportedly interested in running back C.J. Anderson and wide receiver Marc Mariani.

The team is once again slow-playing the free agency period, but we'll continue to track all the rumors and news throughout the day. Below I have posted the Twitter widget that covers Bay Area media and national media. I'll add updates in here as news and rumors develop.
