49ers met with LB Darron Lee, TE Nick Vannett, DE Joey Bosa before/after Ohio State Pro Day

The San Francisco 49ers were well represented at the Ohio State Pro Day. Here are some of the players they met with this week.

The San Francisco 49ers were present at Friday's Ohio State Pro Day, with director of college scouting Matt Malaspina and regional scout Steve Rubio on hand. It should surprise nobody that they met with quite a few Buckeyes prospects. Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net has been putting together details on which teams are meeting with which players at Pro Days, and he has a list of Buckeyes the 49ers met with this week.

We had already learned the team met with defensive end Joey Bosa. Pauline is reporting the 49ers also had meetings with linebacker Darron Lee and tight end Nick Vannett. Pauline said Lee "spent a lot of time" with the team following the workout. He said the 49ers met the day before with Vannett.

The 49ers meetings included players that could be drafted each of the three days. Bosa and Lee are both expected to go int he first round. Vannett is projected by CBS in the third round.

The 49ers have needs at all those positions. They need help in the pass rush, although Bosa might be better suited gaining a little weight and moving to 3-4 defensive end. They need ILB help, and Lee could certainly fit in there. The tight end position has options, but it's hard to get too excited about the group at this point.
