Trent Baalke watches Myles Jack, Kenny Clark at UCLA Pro Day

There is one big name prospect at UCLA, and a handful of other intriguing prospects. Trent Baalke got to watch them all.

The San Francisco 49ers have been plenty active at Pro Days this month, and it should surprise nobody that the team had representatives at UCLA's Pro Day on Tuesday. General manager Trent Baalke was on hand to observe the events, according to Chris Biderman. One report said a school-record 92 credentials were issued, and there were several general managers among that group. According to Tony Pauline, Reggie McKenzie, Les Snead, and Doug Whaley were all on hand. Browns head coach Hue Jackson and Saints scout Jeff Ireland were among those persent.

UCLA is not too far away for Baalke, and there is a decent chance he wanted to get a look at linebacker Myles Jack. The prospect conducted his first workout for NFL teams following a meniscus tear in the fall. He did not run the 40-yard dash, but is expected to run it on April 1 when he has his personal Pro Day. He said he was operating at about 80 percent at the UCLA Pro Day. He does not want teams to think he is slow in his recovery, but I imagine it helps to sell the strength of a fairly strong performance at the Pro Day.

There were other prospects on hand as well, providing a mix of potential day two and day three talent. Defensive tackle Kenny Clark is viewed as a potential second round pick, with running back Paul Perkins and wide receiver Jordan Payton as potential third or fourth round picks. CBSSports.com views Thomas Duarte as a potential fifth round pick. Wide receiver Devin Fuller is flying under the radar, but he ran a 4.37 40-yard dash on Tuesday.
