Good morning and happy St. Patrick's day! I hope you Irish folk are lapping up your heritage in style and for those of you who aren't are at least enjoying the festivities. I'm sure some Dropkick Murphy's will be playing at some point on my computer today, and I'll find a way to get some shepherd's pie somewhere.
Looks like the dullness of post-free agency is starting to creep in for us. Luckily we have the Colin Kaepernick trade to keep debating on. At this point, I really don't know what to think anymore. If Kaepernick doesn't want to be in San Francisco, do the kid a favor and get him out of there. Just like any job--if your employee doesn't want to be there, it will severely impact their work because they are no longer fully invested in the company. On that note however, if Kaepernick does show up to training camp like he reportedly will, kudos to him. I know, it's what you should do, and it's what's professional, on his contract, etc., but I certainly wouldn't blame him for refusing to show up to camp after everything he's been through. He could have said, "What you won't trade me? Fine, pay me or fire me. I'll be at home." But instead, he's going to show up and do his job. Now, how well he does it is up for debate, because if we believe whats out there, he really doesn't want to be there.
This whole thing has gotten obnoxious. I have no clue really what to believe in the drama anymore and just want it over just so we can move on.
