Golden Nuggets: Offensive line still a need for 49ers

Friday, March 18th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Denver Broncos v Baltimore Ravens

Free agency saw a brief, offensive-line resurgence over the past couple days, during which the San Francisco 49ers got in on the action by signing guard Zane Beadles. I don't know how I feel about the signing, but the 49ers are at least acknowledging the fact that they have hole on the offensive line. A big hole that I doubt Beadles can fill effectively, but at least the 49ers are trying.

The other, more substantial signings were the deals Russell Okung signed with the Denver Broncos and Andre Smith signed with the Minnesota Vikings. I would have preferred the 49ers target either of those players because I'm still not sold on Anthony Davis actually returning and looking like the starter that the 49ers lost when he retired.

It would be a shame if the 49ers drafted someone like Jared Goff in the first round or something like that and then he got mauled behind San Francisco's horrendous offensive line. But anyway ... I forgot to do these Nuggets and now I'm writing them 20 minutes before posting soooo let's get through this quickly.
