Good morning! Hope everyone is ready for a wonderful weekend as football continues to slip and slip into offseason boredom.
So Jared Goff had his pro day today, in case you didn't know. He says he'd like to play for the 49ers, I say that will take a lot of luck. It's rather funny though with those Cal QBs. One Cal QB (Aaron Rodgers) is a huge 49er fan and would love to play for the team. 49ers take Alex Smith instead. Another Cal QB (Goff) is a huge 49er fan who wears Joe Montana's jersey number. He might get taken by Cleaveland.
The moral of the story? Cal QBs who like the 49ers just can't win. I don't know what to think about Goff. Some days he looks like the answer to the 49ers at quarterback. Other days, against notable defenses, he's not near as interesting to watch. It will be interesting to see if he's not only available at number 7, but if the 49ers decide to pounce on him if he's there. Only time will tell.
