Golden Nuggets: No news on the 49ers front

Friday was a pretty big day for the San Francisco 49ers and all quarterback-needy teams nearer the top of the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Jared Goff, widely considered to be the top quarterback prospect in said draft, participated in Cal's Pro Day and by all accounts, had a pretty good day.

He completed most of his passes, only had two drops from his receivers and even performed well when the Cleveland Browns asked him to throw with a slick ball to simulate poor weather conditions. No team should ever base a draft pick on a pro day performance, but if the 49ers or Browns were feeling strongly about Goff, then the workout would be a nice affirmation. If either team wasn't hot on Goff going into Friday, then maybe they were persuaded to take another look.

Anyway ... I wrote most of this yesterday because in my crazed sleep deprivation I assumed it was my day to do the Nuggets when, in fact, it was not. So expect some repeats in addition to the new stuff. Onto your links for the day.
