The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed quarterback Sam Bradford to a two-year contract this week, and on Thursday they had a press conference with Bradford. It should surprise nobody that Bradford said he always wanted to remain in Philadelphia. He also did get a mention in about Chip Kelly and the San Francisco 49ers.
Sam Bradford, despite second half success in Chip Kelly's offense, said he never considered following his former coach to the 49ers.

It is entirely possible Bradford wanted to stay in Philadelphia, and that was that. However, given that he got $22 million in fully guaranteed money on a two-year deal, it's hard for me to completely buy that. Props to Bradford for getting the deal done, but that's a whole lot of money for a guy who has under-achieved or been hurt for much of his career.
We'll never know what might have been with Bradford and the 49ers, which is perfectly fine at this point. Chip Kelly and Trent Baalke won't say anything, especially given that Bradford is now under contract. And Bradford has made his point clear. At this point, we just move on.
