New Raiders DE Bruce Irvin just started following free agent cornerback Sean Smith

The San Francisco 49ers were reportedly discussing cornerback Sean Smith, but he might be headed up the road to Oakland. The Raiders have been connected to Smith, and one of their newest free agents might have given something away. Bruce Irvin, who agreed to terms on a deal with the Raiders, recently started following Kelechi Osemele and Smith. Osemele also agreed to terms with the Raiders during the tampering period.

Here is a screenshot of Irvin's follows list on Twitter:

This could mean nothing, but I don't believe in coincidences. We'll likely find out pretty quickly if this means he has agreed to a deal with the Raiders. If not, so be it, but my guess is Smith is going to end up in the Silver and Black.

The 49ers have some questions at cornerback, but they very well could be happy seeing what they can get out of the draft. Right now, Tramaine Brock is one starter, and Kenneth Acker and Dontae Johnson have served as the other starter. We'll see whether or not the depth chart remains the same in five months.
