Golden Nuggets: That was anticlimactic

Friday, April 1, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday, the deadline for Colin Kaepernick's 2016 base salary to become fully guaranteed -- technically -- passed. Nothing has really changed, of course, because Kaepernick was injured and the San Francisco 49ers could not release him even if they wanted to. I'm not sure they wanted to, though it's hard to parse given the front office's ... unique way of telling the truth in the past.

Anyway, if there are any errors with this post, I apologize. I'm at the tail end of a week without Fooch which means I've gone from writing 2-3 posts a week to roughly six million and it's drained me. To compound things, I didn't sleep on Wednesday evening and worked on the newsdesk until 1 a.m. on Thursday evening. I'm writing this at 3 a.m. ET on Friday morning.

SO THINGS MAY BE A LITTLE ROUGH! But anyway, nothing completely imploded while Fooch was gone but I suppose there's still time for that as he won't arrive home proper for several hours today. Cross your fingers. Let's get on to your links.
