Ronnie Stanley to 49ers leads 6 NFL.com 2016 NFL mock drafts

The Tennessee Titans decision to trade away the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft has opened the door for all kinds of possibilities. The Los Angeles Rams are expected to take a quarterback, but the Cleveland Browns are officially a question mark at No. 2. If they have their eye on one quarterback and the Rams select him, what happens next? Do they trade down? Do they go with a potential franchise tackle in Laremy Tunsil? Do they grab one of the notable defensive players?

NFL.com had their various analysts put together new 2016 NFL mock drafts the last two days, and I thought we'd take a look at the six sets of predictions. They're a little bit all over the place for some of the picks.

Five of the six had Carson Wentz going No. 1 to the Rams, with Charley Casserly slotting him No. 2 behind Jared Goff. One of the more interesting developments was seeing where Goff went. Daniel Jeremiah has him dropping to the 49ers, Lance Zierlein has him going No. 4, and Bucky Brooks actually has him dropping to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 8.

Of the six 49ers selections in these mocks, three had Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, one each had Oregon defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, and Cal quarterback Jared Goff. Three passed on Buckner to the 49ers, and one passed on UCLA linebacker Myles Jack. It's quite the mix of of picks.
