The San Francisco 49ers have begun the process of implementing Chip Kelly's offense, and at least one player is really excited. Running back Mike Davis had this to say the first day of phase two of the offseason workout program.
Let's just say we go really really really fast. I love this offense !— IG MikeDavisRB (@MikeDavisRB) April 18, 2016
The 49ers are getting on-field instruction from the coaches, which means they can see just what this offense really entails. They have been studying the playbook thus far, but getting into it on the field is a whole new ballgame. Phase two of the program runs three weeks, and includes a voluntary minicamp April 26-28. Phase three involves the OTAs and mandatory minicamp where we see one-on-one and unit vs. unit drills.
