The NFL honors the annual Walter Payton Man of the Year in a variety of ways, and one is to have him announce a pick during the first round of the NFL Draft. Last year, Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis announced the Panthers pick. On Thursday, current free agent wide receiver Anquan Boldin tweeted that he will be announcing a pick.
One issue: whose pick?

Boldin made a visit to Washington, but otherwise is taking his time getting ready for the 2016 season. He has said he will play, but he can benefit in this situation by not going to offseason workout programs. He can work out on his own, and probably then sign somewhere in June or July before training camp.
My guess is he announces the 49ers pick, but we'll find out in a few hours.
