Imagine that ... the same rumors we had when free agency actually got underway -- those saying that the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos had agreed in principle for a trade involving quarterback Colin Kaepernick but that such a deal depended on Kaepernick agreed to restructure his contract with his new team -- were once again regurgitated and recirculated on Saturday. This time it was the big guns over at ESPN reporting on this breaking news!
Of course ... nothing happened, though there is obviously a chance that a deal gets done at any moment. I'm happy to see that Kaepernick has been meeting with John Elway, but on the other hand, I'm still not sold on the idea of trading Kaepernick at all. Personally, I think it's a little silly for him to be so upset that he was benched given he stunk up the place with his awful quarterbacking but I suppose he wasn't in the best situation with the talent around him.
The future where Blaine Gabbert isn't just the best option, but the only option, is a scary one. Let's get on to your links for the day, shall we?
