Colin Kaepernick showed up to the start of 49ers voluntary workouts on Monday. He will receive $400,000 if he attends 90% of the workouts, which is the reason he showed up. He will continue working out with the team until a trade materializes, but that seems to be fading by the day. He is not interested in renegotiating his contract to help push a trade through, so the 49ers and another team will have to figure out how to get it done.

Even though Colin is at the workouts, many experts have the 49ers selecting a QB in the 1st round of the upcoming draft. Reports even had the team reaching out to the Tennessee Titans about the overall 1st pick. It seems unlikely that Trent Baalke would give up the amount of assets needed to jump to #1, but the pressure has to be on him to make sure Chip Kelly gets the players he wants to succeed.

Jared Goff appears to be the 49ers lead candidate for their 1st round pick. The potential of selecting a local QB looks to be too tempting for the team to pass up according to draft experts. Ruining the team's plans are the Cleveland Browns, who select #2 in the draft. They are in need of a QB and will have their option of Goff or Carson Wentz.
