Good morning. I'm sure glad we have a Colin Kaepernick troll thread up, because it let me vent some frustration over this entire circus the San Francisco 49ers are in. Have you heard of a trade so dysfunctional? I can only think of a couple and at this point one side said, "To hell with it!" and pulled out.
But nope, we have everyone deadlocked in a stare-down, waiting, as Fooch says, for someone to blink first. All I know is Kaepernick requested a trade. The 49ers allowed him a trade, the Broncos want Kaepernick, now Kaepernick won't make as much money so he wants to drag his feet on the whole thing.
Kap needs to get that thinking out of his head.Yes, he's tossing money, but he also tossed five interceptions to six touchdowns. He's not exactly a 14 million dollar quarterback at the moment. Whether that's a fault of coaching or on him is yet to be seen. I just know that if he wants out, like he is stating, you gotta make some sort of compromise.
Kaepernick is smart though. He'll take the cash. This contract was supposed to keep the team together, and we saw how that offseason went. While I know he needs to change his mindset if he wants this trade to happen, I don't blame him for doing what he is doing at the moment.
