The San Francisco 49ers have no expectations coming into the 2016 season. They are tied with the Atlanta Falcons with the hardest schedule in football. Vegas has the 49ers over/under at 5.5 games and some sites have the team finishing with the worst record in the NFC.
The team may not be expected to make much noise in the upcoming season, but the team will want to put up a good fight and have some players play well. The 49ers are a couple of seasons from having a winning season. The team will want young players to play well to have a good look into the future. Nowhere more than Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner, the last 2 1st round draft picks.
Arik and DeForest will be tasked with causing quarterback pressures this season. The 2 former Ducks know each other well and they know Chip well. If they play up to their potential this season, the future could look bright for the 49ers. The last successful 49er teams were built on the defensive line and this team with these 2 draft picks could take the same approach.
