Golden Nuggets: DeForest Buckner gets No. 99 jersey

Sunday, May 8th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

I've been a critic of Trent Baalke and his All-ACL team that has yet to produce anything of value, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Will Redmond on hand when the 49ers kicked off their latest minicamp. Baalke assured the media after selecting Redmond that he would be ready for training camp but I wasn't convinced. Redmond still has a long way to go before he's ready to play, both as a rookie and with his injury, but it's a great step and I'm well on my way to being wrong about him -- which would obviously be excellent.

Other than that, there isn't a whole lot going on other than the team just getting to work. This work isn't particularly interesting, nor is it worth spending much time on the fact that the rookies are signing their deals or which numbers they will wear. I suppose some people care about the numbers, though.

I do like the way 99 looks on a jersey and that one has been given to DeForest Buckner, so that's nice. Let's get on to your links for the day.
