Good morning! I figured I’d just continue Fooch’s sentiments on how yesterday has made its claims as the trainwreck day of the year. First that UK news as the precursor, then more weirdness follows Johnny Manziel and Tavaris Jackson both having their very own moment in the spotlight. For both of them, that may be their last moment too.
Onward to 49ers news. Carlos Hyde had an interesting interview about how all-in he is with Chip Kelly’s offensive system. That’s good for the modern 49ers, but the story of the day goes to none other than 49ers legend Steve Young. We finally have the true story of how his crazy 43 year USFL contract got signed. If you don’t know the story, check the link below to be brought up to speed. Basically, Young got PAID... from a team that allegedly couldn’t even pay the bus driver to take them to games (yes I read that on a Wikipedia article).
Now the real story can be told...
Let’s get to the links!
