I think almost all of us have accidentally either replied all to an email list, or sent an email to a group rather than a single person. It can lead to some embarrassment. Apparently the New Orleans Saints did that on a waiver wire claim, and it cost them quarterback Connor Shaw.
Apparently sent email to every NFL team instead of just NFL personnel office.... https://t.co/64tPkaZRz3

Whoops.
It’s amusing that it involved a player like Connor Shaw. I’m sure he’s a nice enough guy, but it’s not like he’s a guy who will cure a franchise’s woes. The Saints are fine at starting quarterback, but Drew Brees is not going to be around forever. They have Luke McCown and Garrett Grayson on the roster, but that’s it. They spent a third round pikc on Grayson last year, but adding more young depth is always welcome at the quarterback position.
As for the Bears? Jay Cutler is the starter, and the reserves include Brian Hoyer, David Fales, and Dalyn Williams. They spent a sixth round pick on Fales in 2014, and signed Williams as a UDFA this year. They could use more options. And so, they snuck in and grabbed Shaw off waivers.
