Welp, so much for the latter part of this paragraph:
Over the weekend, we discussed the questions surrounding the Seattle Seahawks head coach and general manager. Pete Carroll and John Schneider were both entering the final season of their respective contracts, with no word on where contract extensions stood with them.
Well, we now have answers. Yesterday, Seahawks owner Paul Allen confirmed that John Schneider had agreed to a contract extension. Today, Adam Schefter is reporting that Pete Carroll has agreed to an extension through 2019. And so, we get a few more years of Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks. Now, we’ll see if Chip Kelly can help revive this rivalry.
