Sure, there’s not much for our links today, but it sure is a heck of a lot better than one retirement after another last offseason. For those of you who just joined us this year or were able to repress the horror of last year, the San Francisco 49ers had a story just about every other week in the news. Stories that would have been events of the year for other teams seemed to be falling out at intervals.

Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, the list went on and on of retirements, departures, or incidents. This year we’ve had nothing and I’m perfectly fine with that. I scrounged up with few links with what I could though.

There’s a nifty profile on Jason Fanaika, an undrafted free agent and the long road he has to making the 49ers roster. Underdog stories are always fascinating, and while the odds are stacked against UDFAs, you can’t help but pull for them. How incredible is Kurt Warner’s story today? Same thing.

We also have an interesting Q & A between the ESPN bloggers about how the 49ers talent will fare in Chip Kelly’s offense. This interesting because there’s no 49ers blogger yet to answer the question, resulting in the NFC west bloggers actually giving some very good and interesting answers. They bring up some really good points.

Let’s get to the links!
