Day one of the preseason is in the books, and we’re back for five more games on day two. The San Francisco 49ers get going on Sunday, so for this evening, you’re left with an assortment of options. We’ll see starters in most games for a series or two, but this first team is all about the backups.
I’m intrigued by the Raiders-Cardinals game. David Carr and Carson Palmer will both likely see limited work, and it would not surprise me if Palmer sat out the game. But both have at least interesting backups. Drew Stanton is a very capable option, and Matt McGloin and Connor Cook are interesting Raiders options. I’ll try and catch some of that, although I’m headed out for a birthday dinner, so odds are pretty good I just skip it entirely!
