Well, at least the Colin Kaepernick/Blaine Gabbert battle is epic. Rather than them just take the field and we can overthink practice reports, we not get a bum shoulder to hold Kaepernick off the field for Friday. Apparently neither he, nor the coaching staff are really worried about it.

And neither should the fans. There’s still plenty of football to be played before game 1 of the regular season. Even if Gabbert wins this starting gig, there hasn’t been a quarterback able to start a full season in the NFL under Chip Kelly yet, and until that changes, I think both will start in some capacity this coming season. Then we can really figure out what to do with that position.
