49ers starting lineup vs. Denver Broncos

Here’s who was on the field early for the 49ers in Week 2 of the preseason.

The San Francisco 49ers offense and defense have each made an appearance on the field, which means we have a look at the Week 2 starting lineup. The team opened with a nickel on defense, but has rotated in various looks. Aaron Lynch is not playing due to the eye injury he suffered in a joint practice scuffle. Eli Harold was the first linebacker off the bench after the starters. Gerald Hodges got the ILB start, and Ray-Ray Armstrong came on for the second series as the rotation continues.

Bruce Ellington is not playing, and DeAndrew White replaced him in the slot. White has handled that work for the past week while Ellington has recovered from a sprained ankle. On the second series, Bryce Treggs came on in place of White.

Chris Davis got the first kick return work with Ellington out. Additionally, Matt Barrows said Marcus Cromartie has gotten a lot of first team gunner work on special teams these first two games.
