Colin Kaepernick feeling good after first practice back

Colin Kaepernick returned to the practice field on Monday, and got in some extensive throwing. Jennifer Chan got some video of it, and later added this second more extensive video:

Jimmie Ward and Bruce Ellington both commented to the media that Kaepernick was looking good, with Ward admitting the quarterback got a couple completions against him.

Kaepernick chatted with the media after practice while doing some stretching. Cam Inman noted there was no ice on Kaepernick's throwing shoulder, which seems like a good thing.

The 49ers have two more practices this week, and then face the Green Bay Packers on Friday. It seems like Kaepernick is on track to be available for the game, so the next questions are how much work will he get, and will he start. Chip Kelly is likely meeting with the media on Wednesday to wrap up the practice week. I'm sure he'll get a question about playing time and who will start. Whether he provides an answer is another questiom entirely.
