Anthony Davis, Joshua Garnett get RG, LG snaps with 49ers first team OL on Tuesday

The San Francisco 49ers are continuing to rotate players around their offensive line, and Tuesday saw what might be the most intriguing adjustment. The team closes off team drills to the media, but the beat writers got to watch a small part of it, catching four snaps of offense. They saw Anthony Davis practice at right guard, and after two snaps, Joshua Garnett came on in place of Zane Beadles at left guard.

The 49ers have sent out the same starting offensive line the first two preseason games, but the last week or so has seen the team mix up the practice options with a bit more regularity. Davis has been practicing at right guard off and on, and Zane Beadles got some center snaps on Monday.

The question now is when or even if we see it in game action. This Friday’s game against the Packers is the third preseason game, which is often when we see the starters playing the most. However, with questions about several potential starters, the 49ers could mix it up a bit more. It gives us one more thing to watch in Friday’s game.
