Today, August 23, is a big day. EA Sports released Madden 17, and I imagine quite a few of you are busy enjoying the new game. I haven’t bought Madden in five or six years. It felt like it got a little too complicated for my simple video game mind. But after seeing some video of it, I find myself tempted once again.
The 49ers got an early release copy of the game, and they put together some video featuring Mike Davis and Jaquiski Tartt squaring off. They both played as the 49ers, and both went with alternate uniforms. Davis went with the black alternates they’ll be using for a second straight season. Tartt went with the throwbacks they wore during the 1994 season.
The highlight of the competition is when Tartt has Colin Kaepernick throwing a touchdown pass to Torrey Smith. It just so happens Smith is walking through the locker room and is pumped by the touchdown. Here’s the video:

Fooch’s update: A little more video, this time featuring Marcus Cromartie vs. Tramaine Brock, with Cromartie getting a pick as himself.
